Judy Arnold serves on the Marin County Board of Supervisors, representing District 5. Prior to that, Judy served on the Novato City Council from 2003-2006 and was involved in many civic and non-profit organizations. She worked as Marin County’s First Supervisorial Aide to former Supervisor Gary Giacomini and later held positions as Director of Communication and Fund Development for Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire, Director Coordinator for President pro Tempore John Burton, and District Chief of Staff for Carole Migden at the California State Senate. Judy attended Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland for two years and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in International Relations.
As Supervisor, Judy founded the Marin Economic Forum to focus on a local and sustainable economy; authored a resolution adding Education to the Board’s priorities; has been an advocate for government transparency and meaningful pension reform; and as a board member of SMART, the Golden Gate Bridge District, the Transportation Authority of Marin, and Marin Transit, she has actively worked to reduce traffic congestion and improve our transportation infrastructure.
Judy lives in Novato with her husband Bruce and is a proud mother and grandmother.
