Larry Loder was elected as the Commission's public member in 2019. He is a former a board member of the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District, and served for 11 years in that capacity. He received a BS in Civil Engineering and has been a licensed civil engineer since 1964. During his working years, he spent 10 years as Marin County's Assist. Director of Public Works, 15 years as the City of Richmond's Public Works Director, and 7 years as a Richmond Parkway Project Manager. He also worked for the California Department of Transportation, the California Division of Forestry, and the County of Fresno. He has worked at the City, County, and State level.
Larry is a long time Marin resident and has resided in the County since 1970. He lives in San Rafael in a historic home that he and his son renovated after a fire in 2008. His family also lives in the area.
Marin County LAFCo is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
