Sashi McEntee was initially appointed as the alternate city member in May 2016, then in June 2016 became the regular seated city member for the Marin LAFCo Commission.  Sashi is an elected member of the City of Mill Valley Council and as such also serves on Marin Clean Energy (MCE), Marin Telecommunications Agency (MTA), Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin (SASM), Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM), League of California Cities North Bay Division, and the Southern Marin Watershed Management Group. Prior to her election to City Council, Sashi served as Vice Chair of the Mill Valley’s Emergency Preparedness Commission and as Chair of the Mill Valley Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Steering Committee. Sashi is a Mill Valley School District parent and is an active school and Kiddo! volunteer. She is a former president of the Shelter Ridge Homeowners Association board of directors. Professionally, Sashi has worked in finance and business development. Sashi has also served on the boards of several nonprofits, including ODC/Dance, California Association for the Gifted, and California Women’s Leadership Association. Sashi has lived in Mill Valley for 17 years. She and her husband Dave operate a video analysis business headquartered in Mill Valley and are proud to be raising their two daughters here.
