Applications for Boundary Changes
LAFCo is responsible for approving all proposed changes of organization involving cities and special districts in Marin County. An applicant proposing a change of organization may be made by a property owner, registered voter, or local agency.

FEE PAYMENT
Based on Marin LAFCo Board action, an updated fee schedule will take effect on October 10th, 2023. Any application submitted prior to this date will adhere to the current fee schedule. All applications submitted on or after October 10 will be subject to the updated fee schedule.

Current Fee ScheduleAlthough applications can be paid via cash or check, LAFCo now offers the ability to pay application fees online. To pay these fees, please navigate to the page below. Please confirm the exact dollar amount owed with LAFCo staff before submitting your payment. Please note there is a service fee associated with this electronic payment system and that use of this system is entirely voluntary and by no means mandated by LAFCo.
